Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use the Service. By using it, you represent you meet this requirement and can enter into a binding contract.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service offers a Free tier and paid "Pro" subscriptions billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice; changes apply to renewal periods.

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Refunds: payments are non-refundable except where required by law. Contact us for billing disputes.

You will not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service; (b) misuse APIs or circumvent rate limits; (c) upload malicious code or illegal content; (d) impersonate others or resell the Service without written permission.

You retain ownership of the habits, goals, notes, and other content you create. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

The Service, including code, design, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Smartteachme and protected by applicable laws. No rights are granted except the limited right to use the Service under these Terms.

The Service relies on third parties (Stripe, Firebase/Google Cloud, email providers). We are not responsible for third-party failures. Their terms apply to your use of their portions.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that streaks, reminders, or data will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smartteachme is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the greater of USD $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to the Service, or legal requirements. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.

We may modify the Service or these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Smartteachme is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection laws grant you additional rights.
